Unemployment Drops, Economy Adds Jobs
Unless the Labor Department is playing a sick April Fool's joke, 216,000 jobs were added to the U.S. economy last month. Unemployment also fell to 8.8% which is the lowest since March of 2009.
"Almost two years after the recession officially ended, the labor market appears to finally be picking up," Kathy Bostjancic, director for macroeconomic analysis at the Conference Board, told the Los Angeles Times.
